Inspectorate competences

• Inspects the enforcement of Law on Production of Weapons and Military Equipement and inspection of legal entities that are licensed for production and repair of weapons and military equipment.
• Participate in development of laws and by-laws, as well as other regulations, in the mentioned subject area, provide expert opinions on pre-drafts, drafts, laws proposals, and other legal regulations and general acts regarding the inspection and permanent supervision over legal entities licensed for production and repair of weapons and military equipment. Prepare expert opinions and explanations on application of laws, other regulations and general acts at request of citizens, legal entities, and other persons or   ex officio.
• Development of analyses, reports, information and other expert materials based on the data provided by entity bodies, and data acquired during the process of inspection.
• Identification of status in the field of production and repair of weapons and military equipment. Inform responsible bodies on state levels on the situation in the field of production and repair of weapons and military equipment, monitor and study the situation in the field of weapons and military equipment based on the reports provided by entity bodies responsible for permanent monitoring, as well as proposing measures in order to regulate certain matters ensuring full implementation of the laws, other regulations, and general acts.
• Inspectorate, as a basic organisational unit, is managed by Chief Inspector, who is responsible for using the financial, material, and human resources of Inspectorate.
