Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mirko Sarovic, met today with Entity Ministers of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Boris Pasalic and Semsudin Dedic.

At the meeting it was agreed to start activities aimed at greater control over imports but also to ensure the export of meat from our country, and protection of domestic production. "This is about an outbreak of cattle disease in some EU countries and there is a need for BiH to undertake preparations and more active involvement of inspection bodies in both entities and the BiH Veterinary Office in order to protect people,“ Minister Sarovic said.

"The Livestock Census is necessary in order to finally obtain a license for the export of red meat to the EU. We considered the possibility of continuing the establishment of infrastructure, as it is very important," the Minister underlined.

At the meeting, the entity Ministers of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry expressed their readiness for full commitment and speeding up of all joint activities for greater protection of domestic producers and citizens' health.
